1. Accurate size measurement and data acquisition

At the beginning of the design of the Car light fixing bracket mold, the relevant dimensions of the car light must be accurately measured. This includes the outline dimensions of the car light, the position and diameter of the mounting hole, the curvature of the contact part with the fixing bracket, etc. By using high-precision measuring tools, such as a three-coordinate measuring machine, accurate three-dimensional data of the car light is obtained. These data are the basis of mold design, and designers use these data to determine key dimensions such as the internal shape of the fixing bracket and the layout of the mounting holes. For example, if the car light has a specific raised or recessed part, the corresponding position of the fixing bracket needs to be designed to match it to ensure a tight fit.

2. Consider the function and assembly requirements of the car light

Car lights have specific functions on vehicles, such as lighting angles, heat dissipation requirements, etc. The design of the fixing bracket mold should consider the impact of these factors on adaptability. For car lights that require specific lighting angles, the installation angle and position of the fixing bracket must be accurately designed to ensure that the car light can achieve the designed lighting effect after installation. In terms of assembly, the assembly sequence and convenience of the car light and the fixing bracket should be considered. For example, if the car lamp is installed in the fixed bracket from a certain direction, the opening shape and size of the fixed bracket must meet this assembly method to avoid damage to the car lamp during the assembly process or affect the assembly efficiency.

3. Reserve a reasonable tolerance range

Although accurate fit must be ensured, in actual production, considering factors such as manufacturing errors and material deformation, it is necessary to reserve a reasonable tolerance range when designing the mold. The tolerance of the mounting hole position should be determined according to the dimensional accuracy and assembly requirements of the mounting bolts of the car lamp. If the tolerance is too large, it may cause the car lamp to shake after installation, affecting the safety and stability of use; if the tolerance is too small, it may cause difficulties during assembly. The shape tolerance of the contact surface between the fixed bracket and the car lamp should also be reasonably set according to the accuracy requirements of the car lamp surface, so as to reduce the difficulty and cost of mold manufacturing while ensuring adaptability.

4. Use digital design and simulation verification

Use computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software for mold design. During the design process, digital modeling can be used to accurately construct models of car lamps and fixed brackets, and virtual assembly simulation can be performed. Through simulation, we can visually check whether there is interference between the fixing bracket and the car lamp, whether the assembly is smooth, etc. If problems are found, the mold design can be adjusted in time to ensure that the fixing bracket and the car lamp are accurately adapted before actual production.
